A busy and fast pace contractor is hiring an efficient bookkeeper / administrative assistant.

*Reports directly to the owner of the company
*General office management
*Answering telephone and directing calls
*Preparation and sending of monthly contract billings
*Administer accounts payable & receivable
*Reconcile bank and credit card charges and statements
*Process payroll and maintain personnel records
*Comply with city, state and federal government reporting requirements
*Prepare internal financial reports for the external accountant
*Collect and manage health and business insurance as well as monitoring workers compensation
*Set up and maintain all files and office in an orderly system
*Post journal entries
*General ledger
*Manage cash flow
*Assist with bid form preparation
*Assist with change order and T&M billings
*Other administrative tasks as needed

*Accounting / bookkeeping background preferred
*Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
*Strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical thinking skills
*Must be on time meeting deadlines and expectations
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills
*Independent, self-motivated, multi-tasker
*Must be able to work well in a high paced team environment
*Positive attitude
