Lot of 18 Antique MC Railroad Spikes / Train Track / Old Iron / Pennsylvania / Patina
Discovered these unused MC railroad spikes a few years back while out fishing. The railroad tracks ran parallel to the creek. I fished a stretch and decided to walk the active tracks back to where I had parked my SUV. I came across a few piles of unused railroad spikes so I figured I'd bring some home. My plan was to find a blacksmith to forge some into a knife since most spikes were marked MC or Medium Carbon.
Ive noticed that people also collect them as well since they're from the 1930's and earlier.
I have a Lot of 18. I can always return and grab more if someone is interested, perhaps a knife blacksmith. Ive heard these railroad spikes can make amazing knives. I will inclued pictures of a knives forged from MC/HC railroad spikes. Each spike weighs 0.8 pounds, total weight for all 18 is 14.4lbs.
