The lids were opened carefully to not damage the containers to test the batteries and when we realized they were not the batteries were replaced so the watches were perfectly. Battery compartments had no battery acid on them, and the plastic cellophane is still there. The instructions booklet is included, everything is inside the original packaging. When you zoom in on the pictures you can see the time on the watches, so you know that they are working.
