Kay N2 Archtop acoustic guitar.Made in Chicago 1950s-60s.Faux flame 2 F hole birch(?)top,sides & back.All original w/ivory pickguard,maple 2 piece adj.bridge & chrome trapeze tail.White painted perfling top & sides.Mahogany finished poplar C radius neck & Kay pointed headstock w/honey bear 3 strip Kluson chrome tuners.Flat head securing screws & phillips-head gear screws.No ferrule posts.19 fret maple fingerboard is full scale 25 1/2" & 1 11/16 at top nut(thin).Neck is flat & straight & plays clean w/decent 3/16" action at 12th fret.Most vintage USA arch tops are in need of a neck reset & this one is borderline w/a slight bit of extra relief.Totally playable as is w/easy play low action on the lower frets but could use a reset for its original pro playability.Structurally sound & NM 9 cosmetic w/only a couple small scratches & very lite fretboard play wear.Has no headstock logo but is clearly marked inside N2 w/serial # L3657. "N2" was used on many of the Kay Chicago jobber guitars including Airline & Silvertone archtops & parlors.The "L" serial # was used on some Silvertones I've had.Nice playing well preserved example of the Chicago vintage archtops.Includes probably original two tone chipboard case that it arrived in. 150.00
No name vintage dreadnought.Solid spruce top w/solid(?)rosewood sides & back.B&W perfling top & ivory bound sides.Mahogany V radius neck & flat top headstock w/rosewood veneer.Kay script logo & Lyon graphic stickers & replacement Epiphone truss rod cover.20 fret rosewood fingerboard is 1 3/4" at top nut & 25 1/2" full scale.Adjustable rosewood bridge is solid flat w/some belly.Neck is flat & straight & plays clean w/pro 1/8" action at 12th fret.Back is slightly raised w/vertical graphic stripe.Had to add some parts to bring this old battle axe back to life.Added the 70s canal bridge w/2 vertical adjustment screws & the Epi truss rod cover w/functional truss rod below.Someone replaced the tuners w/chrome covers.Has some repaired binding around the neck joint w/some glue & tape rez.Bottom edge center seam has been repaired w/some damage to the rosewood seam.Back has a shadow finish mark.Has general nicks,scuffs & scratches.All the damage is cosmetic in nature & doesn't effect playability.Even the belly allows for playable action.A big solid top voice & easy play vintage V neck & nice presentation.Was a quality factory build in the 70s or so.Found a match on the internet called K.Country from the same era out of Japan.Has 47160 &100 stamped on the tone bar inside.Incredibly,this one has wooden structural mooring built inside.Two wood blocks below the 3rd ladder brace surrounding the oversize vertical spruce tone bar inside back.Have never seen this.See pics.Mid grade pro quality vintage dread would be a nice couch buddy or camping companion. 55.00

Yamaha FG-401 vintage 90s Taiwan dreadnought acoustic guitar.Guitar suffered an el-kabong wound to the top under the home made pickguard.Was repaired back to playability & is priced accordingly.Spruce ply top w/mahogany back & sides.Black bound sides & neck.Mahogany C radius neck & headstock.Individual HD chrome open gear tuners.20 fret rosewood finger board is flat & straight & plays clean w/decent <3/16" action at 12th fret.Ebony bridge is flat solid w/some lite belly.A flea mkt rescue dog for sure.Has the top repair & some misc white paint spots left side & fading to the back & general scuff,scratch & unidentified flotsam.Mid to high end Yami has been thru a lot but still plays nice on the lower frets w/a big voice.New strings & recent setup.The damaged area is mostly covered by the pickguard w/some peekaboo around the edges. 40.00
